Abstract:
The low temperature adsorption of argon on a sample of silver iodide was studied and interpreted in relation to previous work on the theories of the surface heterogeneity. Krypton isotherms were determined on two samples of caesium bromide, and the resultant isotherms were interpreted in the light of an improved version of the theory of Ross of physical adsorption on heterogeneous adsorbents. Numerical sophistication of this theory was carried out, resulting in the tabulation of theoretical adsorption isotherms calculated using the new techniques.
