A methodology for the design and development of industrial vision systems is presented. This rests on a nighly modular and interactive image analysis package which is microcomputer based and has been implemented in assembly language. The package is named CAVDEP (Computer Aided Vision DEvelopment Package). It provides a wide assortment of routines for detection, location, identification, and perception of orientation of multiple targets in a multiclass environment.
