Abstract: | |||||
At the start of the project, the then current data transmission system could not technically cope with the demands that were being placed upon it. It was antiquated and also beginning to have no external support. UK Coal Mining Ltd had started to install ad-hoc installations of new supervisory, control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems but with no central guidance.
