Abstract: | |||||
Local recurrence after surgery for primary rectal cancer is an important problem. Many factors have been elucidated. Tumour and treatment factors have been thoroughly investigated. Patient factors, however, have been little addressed. In this thesis, we review the experience of the researcher's department in the treatment of primary rectal cancer and locally recurrent rectal cancer, and then investigate variations in pelvic anatomy in patients with primary rectal cancer.
