Abstract: | |||||
Less-developed countries are believed to be plagued by
employment problem and as technology can be operated upon
to solve employment problem choice of "appropriate" technology is an
important step toward solving the problem. As the countries
have abundant stock of unskilled labour in relation to
their capital stock it is believed that techniques that are
unskilled labour-using are appropriate not only for the
purpose of absorbing the surplus labour but also because
business profitability would be enhanced by using more of
the abundant and therefore cheaper factor.
