|
The first part of this thesis is a study of strongly continuous (or weakly) continuous one parameter semigroups and groups of bounded linear maps on Banach spaces, their perturbation and scattering, paying particular attention to operator algebras. The second part of the thesis investigates the structure of completely positive maps.
