Abstract:
The object of this dissertation is the examination of the Greek secondary Technical and Vocational Education (T.V.E.) as regards the most important branch of Greek manufacturing, Textiles. The first part contains an overview of the history of the Greek educational system with special reference to T.V.E. in comparison with educational developments in Britain. It also contains a detailed presentation of the only Greek textile Technical Education, SKIP. An attempt is made to situate T.V.E. within the social and economic context of Greece.
