In order to test the kinetic of gas phase reactions on catalysts, an experimental system was designed. The System can be operated in the range of 0 - 100 bar and 25 - 700 oC. The flow, temperature and pressure of the system are controlled by the control signals from the Digital to Analogue Converter board of a CUBE Computer. The outputs of the pressure, flow and temperature sensors were read through the Analogue Digital Converter board of the Computer. The calibration and testing studies of the flow, pressure and temperature systems were carried out by the set point signals from the computer. After the calibration studies, the commercial steam - methane reforming catalyst was crushed into small particles (0.25 - 0.35 mm). The microreactor was packed with this crushed catalyst. Then, the conditioning studies of the catalyst were carried out with Hydrogen flowing through the system at 650 oC and 5 bar system pressure. Finally, a limited catalyst evaluation study was carried out at the temperature of 650 oC and pressure of 3 bar by running a few reactions of the steam-methane reforming and analysing the gas products at the outlet of the experimental system.
