Abstract:
This thesis presents work in the area of mesh generation for computational simulation. The work covers two areas, anisotropic Delaunay mesh generation and parallel large scale mesh generation. Examples of the anisotropic mesh generation are presented with application to fluid dynamics simulations and reference to solution accuracy. A method for parallel mesh generation is presented, and a set of examples of meshes generated in parallel are shown. The meshes range in size from a few thousand tetrahedral elements to a mesh for a computational electromagnetic simulation containing approximately one billion tetrahedral elements.
