Abstract:
A\ms and Directives'. To calculate the direct cost of surgically exposing a palatally impacted canine (PIC), bonding a gold chain, and orthodontically aligning the canine within a secondary care unit and to investigate subject and treatment factors that may influence the number of treatment visits and the total cost of treatment. Conclusions; The cost of aligning a PIC seems reasonable when compared to hypothetical costs of extraction and prosthetic replacement and to the Payment by Result tariff.
