Abstract:
Balance impairment during walking is a common feature of many paediatric neurological conditions, however limited normative data restricts physiotherapists' ability to assess, diagnose and target treatment. This research programme set out to identify effective measures of walking in children and to establish normative data, that would enable physiotherapists to identify developmental trends and discriminate between walking and balance in healthy children and children with different pathologies.
