Abstract:
Semantic, relational data-sets appear everywhere, from complicated biological networks, to data derived from popular websites, graph-like structures repeatedly appear and change over time. These structures typically have higher level lemantics embedded within them; a super structure defined by the properties or the relationships as well as the entities themselves. The best examples can be found in the emerging ontology domain. Ontologies in Description Logic (DL) - machine readable, formal-logic repremutations of domains - are difficult to comprehend by human modellers. Their nature, size and. often comphcated, logic constructions dictate that cognitive support is required. Cognitive support is provided in the form of various tools, including these that make use of visuahsation principles.
