Abstract:
MRI offers a non invasive method of quantifying physiological parameters related to the such as perfusion (F), blood volume (vf,) and capillary permeability surface area product {PS) in vivo. Changes in such parameters are present in a wide range of diseases ranging from psychological disorders to cancer. Quantification of such parameters is therefore of major benefit in both the diagnosis and understanding of such disease as well as for assessment of potential therapies.
