Abstract:
Atrial septal defect (ASD) is one of the most common congenital heart defects effects, and is found in one in 1,000 live births. Knockdown of expression of the chick alpha myosin heavy chain (aMHC/Myh6) homolog eliminates the formation of the atrial septum, indicating that aMHC is Important in septum formation. The main function of aMHC during the cardiogenesis was first established using RNAi and aMHC is critical for normal myocardial function.
