Abstract:
Despite having a significant impact on quality of life for both individuals and their families, little is known about the psychosocial experience of severe food allergy. This study investigated parents' experience of having a young child with a severe food allergy in relation to three questions: (1) How do parents experience the impact of childhood food allergy? (2) What are parents' perceptions of the effect of food allergy on their family relationship? (3) What are parents' experiences of managing the challenges associated with severe food allergy?
